Fashion and Eroticism Men's Underwear in the Context of Eroticism

What is the process when historically obviously neutral things are becoming loaded with mental meanings, associations and qualities, getting a new turn of expression? The article deals with the changing of men’s underwear from garments of pure utility to high fashionable, visible things. The context in which the change has taken place, the language which supports the new meanings, the forms, colours and use of the “unmentionable” are studied from an ethnological viewpoint. The author emphasises the aspects of new adaptations of the meaning of fashion in relation to changing gender roles, new ideals of the body and new mechanisms in consumer culture.

Traditional customer satisfaction and customer retention models are extended by integrating variables such as perceived action control or social norm. These constructs are suggested by the attitude theory as well as the theory of planned behaviour. The extended model is tested in an empirical study carried out in the movie theatre industry. The model provides an excellent explanation of customer retention, which is the target variable in the study. Implications are derived for satisfaction managers which focus on the social group when approaching a specific customer. Finally, an outline for further theoretical and empirical studies is given as well as some limitations of the proposed model.

In this chapter, I discuss the relativity of truth and define the concept of viewpoint-relative truth. The relativity of truth is perhaps the strongest form of epistemological relativity that can used to deduce the relativity of knowledge and reality. One of the fundamental problems of epistemology is overcoming doubt, which is why I will introduce epistemology by presenting the problem of scepticism. After this, I discuss different theories of truth. The contextuality, or the dependency on context, of truth is focal to viewpoint relativism, and I build the definition of viewpoint-dependent truth upon it. RESUMENEsta comunicación analiza porqué no existe en nuestro ordenamiento ningún derecho a la maternidad o derecho a la paternidad, y cómo cuesta llegar a un consenso sobre si nuestro ordenamiento jurídico protege los derechos sexuales y reproductivos, y si lo hace, cuál es el contenido de estos derechos.
